Get answers to common questions about Brazilian Honey Wax.
To prepare, arrive clean and avoid heavy lotions. Exfoliate gently 48 hours before and trim hair to about 1/4 inch if needed. Avoid sun and self-tanners for 48 hours. Consider ibuprofen beforehand and communicate comfort needs to your technician.
Some mild to moderate discomfort is normal, but pain varies by individual. Our technicians use warm honey wax and skilled techniques to minimize discomfort. Breathing techniques, taking ibuprofen an hour before, and regular waxing typically reduce sensitivity over time.
Results typically last three to six weeks depending on hair growth cycle and individual factors. Regular Brazilian Honey Wax treatments can slow regrowth and soften hair, extending smoothness. Maintain aftercare and schedule repeat appointments for best long-term results.
Many clients receive Brazilian waxing while pregnant, but increased sensitivity and circulation may raise discomfort. We recommend consulting your healthcare provider and informing us of pregnancy. Some prefer waiting until after the first trimester; we’ll accommodate comfort measures as needed.
Aftercare includes avoiding hot baths, saunas, and intense exercise for 24–48 hours to prevent irritation. Wear loose clothing and skip heavy creams or perfumes immediately after. Gently exfoliate after 48–72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs and apply soothing aloe or recommended products.
You may experience temporary redness, mild swelling, or small bumps immediately after waxing; these usually subside within a day or two. Less commonly, ingrown hairs or irritation occur. Follow aftercare, exfoliate gently, and contact us for signs of infection or prolonged discomfort.
