Get answers to common questions about Brazilian Black Mud Wax.
During your appointment you'll receive a brief consultation, gentle cleansing and black mud application to purify skin, professional waxing using precise Brazilian technique, soothing post-wax treatment, and tailored aftercare advice to minimize irritation and promote smooth skin.
Exfoliate 48–72 hours before to remove dead skin, avoid tanning and heavy creams the day of, ensure hair is about quarter-inch long, and arrive clean. Inform your technician about topical prescriptions or medical conditions beforehand.
Black mud is generally gentle and mineral-rich, but sensitive skin can react. We perform a patch test when needed and adjust products or techniques. Disclose allergies or sensitivities so your technician can recommend alternatives or modifications.
Most clients enjoy smooth results for three to six weeks depending on individual hair growth cycles, hormones, and maintenance. Regular waxing can lead to finer regrowth and longer intervals between appointments.
Black mud’s detoxifying and exfoliating minerals can help reduce ingrown hairs by calming inflammation and keeping follicles clear, but consistent waxing, proper exfoliation, and aftercare are essential. We offer targeted treatments for persistent issues.
Contraindications include active infections, open wounds, severe sunburn, recent chemical peels, certain skin medications, or uncontrolled skin conditions. Pregnancy is not automatically excluded—discuss health history with your technician to ensure safety.
