Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Chin.

A Chin threading session usually lasts 10–20 minutes depending on hair amount and shape desired. We include consultation and light post-care. Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin to help speed the process and ensure the best, most comfortable result.

Most clients feel mild, brief discomfort during threading, similar to plucking. Sensitivity varies; experienced technicians use techniques to reduce pain. Numbing creams aren’t usually necessary, and irritation typically subsides quickly with proper aftercare and soothing products.

Regrowth varies by individual, but most clients notice smoothness for three to six weeks. Regular threading can reduce hair density and soften regrowth over time, making maintenance easier and extending intervals between appointments.

When performed correctly, threading rarely causes scarring or long-term hyperpigmentation. Temporary redness or slight irritation can occur. If you have sensitive or acne-prone skin, inform us beforehand so we can adjust technique and recommend pre- and post-care to minimize risks.

Avoid shaving before threading; hair needs enough length for the thread to catch. Trim only if hairs are excessively long, but it's best to arrive with natural growth of a few millimeters for effective, clean removal.

Yes. Avoid touching the area, apply a cool compress to reduce redness, and use gentle, fragrance-free moisturizers. Avoid sun exposure, exfoliation, and heavy makeup for 24–48 hours to prevent irritation and protect newly exposed skin.
